New Forest – Hampshire

If you fancy a trip to the south of England, then you should consider going to New Forest. It is a beautiful area between Bournemouth and Southampton and if you go down to the coast, you can see the Isle of Wight.

There are a variety of places you can stay with a great selection of accommodation including caravan and camping sites, cottages and hotels. When you have reached the New Forest, there are a great many activities and places to visit.

Lake District – Cumbria

The Lake District is one of the most popular places in the UK to visit, because of its beautiful scenery, amazing walks and fun places to visit. If you are a lover of the outdoors, walking, hiking or mountain biking, you need to visit the Lake District.

There are cottages dotted around the Lake District that are available to book and stay in for your holiday. Some of the nicest ones are around Windermere, whilst there are so many other caravan sites around the district.

From your cottage at Windermere, you can easily explore the lake and either take a boat trip, canoe or kayak and simply relax on the water’s edge. Coniston is another beautiful village that is worth exploring and is close to Coniston Water. The lake itself is 5 miles long and half a mile wide. On the western shore of Coniston Water is the Old Man of Coniston mountain that towers high above both the lake and village.

The Lake District has so many beautiful places to visit and many mountains and walks to explore the gorgeous scenery and just experience northern nature.

Wye Valley – Wales

If you want to visit a place of outstanding natural beauty, with a huge amount of history and myth, then the Wye Valley is the place to visit.

In the Wye Valley, you will find the Black Mountains. This collection of mountains offers absolutely stunning views that are easy to see after a lovely walk along one of the numerous trails. For historical and literary inspiration, then take a drive to Tintern Abbey. This is one of the finest churches in Wales and dates all the way back to 12th Century. However, in the 18th Century, it was rediscovered and captivated by such figures as William Wordsworth.

In the Wye Valley, you can book yourself in to a Spa hotel for some personal indulgence and luxyr. Or maybe you fancy yourself a country house for some pastoral charm. If you are a self-catering fan, there are a variety of cottages available, where you can do just that. There are obviously also campsites, caravan parks and B&Bs available also.

The Wye Valley is officially an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and also has the myth of King Arthur woven into the area.
